Junk Removal Dumpsters in Lakewood, CO
Roll-off in the driveway, protection boards under the rails, flat rate quoted before we leave the yard. Same-day and next-day delivery across Lakewood, Jefferson County and the west Denver metro.
Most Lakewood junk jobs start in the garage. The brick ranches and split-levels off Wadsworth and Kipling were built with one-car and two-car attached garages, and after thirty years a Colorado family fills every inch of them: skis nobody skis on, three generations of bikes, camping totes, a roof box, coolers, and swamp cooler panels stacked in the rafters. We set the container where you can reach it and you load on your own clock.
Cole Barrett has been dropping roll-offs on this side of the metro since 2012, and the same mistake shows up every week. People guess at cubic yards and forget weight. Household junk is bulky and light, so you normally run out of room before you run out of pounds, but the second somebody starts pitching in flagstone from the side yard or a pallet of leftover tile, the math changes fast.
Delivery runs same-day or next-day across Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater, Golden and Green Mountain, swaps go out the next day, and protection boards go under the rails every time, no charge and no asking. Clearing one room, book the small can. Clearing a house that has been in the family since the Eisenhower years, start with the estate cleanout page, then read how to size it.
What comes out of a Lakewood garage
Garage recovery projects
The Colorado classic. Warped skis, dead snowboards, bike frames, camp chairs, a cracked roof box and UV-fried patio furniture, plus swamp cooler parts somebody stashed in the rafters.
Basement clear-outs
Full basements under nearly every ranch here. Dry storage, not moldy, so boxes, paneling, old carpet and furniture come up the stairs in better shape than you would think.
Crawlspace and shed cleanouts
Back sheds and crawlspaces hold the stuff that lost its indoor privileges: fertilizer bags, hoses, broken tools, plastic sleds and half a deck's worth of scrap lumber.
Furniture and mattresses
Sectionals, box springs, recliners and particle-board bedroom sets. Light per piece, huge per cubic yard, and the single fastest way to fill a container.
Rental turnovers
Landlords across Lakewood and Edgewater emptying a unit between tenants. We drop Friday, you gut it over the weekend, we pull it Monday morning.
Pre-sale declutter
Thirty years of accumulation gone before the listing photos. West metro buyers walk basements and garages hard, and an empty one reads as square footage.
Hoarding recovery work
Slow work, done in stages, no lectures. A container parked for several days beats a dozen pickup runs, and next-day swaps keep families from stalling out.
Post-hail cleanup
After a big Front Range hail day: shredded screens, punched siding, wrecked patio covers and greenhouse panels. Roofing tear-off rides in its own can, though.
Picking a size you will actually fill
For a house cleanout the 15 yard is the workhorse and the 20 yard is the honest call once the garage is included. Furniture, boxes and gear are bulky and light, so you run out of space long before you run out of allowance. That flips the moment tile, mortar, brick or landscape rock goes in, and rock is the one that gets people, because a wheelbarrow of river rock weighs more than a couch. If half the job is household and half is masonry, run two containers or two loads instead of one overloaded can. Dimensions for every size sit on the sizes page, or tell us which rooms you are emptying and we will call it for you.

Older Lakewood and Edgewater lots often have alley access, and an alley drop keeps the container off your concrete entirely. On driveways we lay protection boards under the rails every time, which matters more here than most places because bentonite clay under this metro heaves driveways enough on its own. Colorado keeps a short list out of any roll-off: televisions, monitors, computers, printers and peripherals are banned from landfill disposal statewide, along with whole tires, lead-acid batteries, used oil and free liquids. Paint goes to a PaintCare drop-off and chemicals go to Jefferson County household hazardous waste. If a street placement is your only option, permit rules vary by jurisdiction and we will tell you what your address needs.

Junk Removal Dumpsters FAQs
How fast can you get a container to my house?
Call in the morning and same-day is realistic across most of Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater and Green Mountain. Next-day is routine everywhere we run, including the foothills side toward Morrison and Ken Caryl. Heavy snow moves windows around, and a steep or gated driveway means we want a look at the approach first. Tell us the cross streets when you book and we will give you a real window.
What do I do with the old TV and the computers?
They cannot go in the container. Colorado bans electronics from landfill disposal, which covers televisions, monitors, desktops, laptops, printers and most peripherals, and that rule applies no matter whose truck hauls it. Set them aside for a Jefferson County or metro e-waste collection event or a year-round drop-off site. Same story with tires, lead-acid batteries and used oil. Ask us before you pitch something and we will point you at the right place.
Can I keep it for a week?
Yes, and most cleanouts need it. The standard rental period covers a normal week, which is about right for a garage plus a basement worked around a job. If you fill it early, a next-day swap puts an empty can in the same spot so you never lose momentum halfway through a room. If the job runs long we work it out instead of surprising you on the invoice.
Will the truck fit in my alley?
Usually, and alleys are often the better drop. We run the older grids in Lakewood, Edgewater and Wheat Ridge constantly. What we need from you is honest detail: overhead lines, low branches, a tight turn at the garage apron, and whether the neighbors park past their fence line. Send a photo if you are unsure. Ten seconds of looking beats a truck showing up and not being able to set the can.
Is it worth pulling out the metal and the gear first?
Often, yes. Scrap steel, aluminum, copper and old appliances have value at a yard and they are nothing but weight in a container. The other Colorado angle is gear: skis, boards, bikes, tents and packs that still function move fast through consignment and gear swaps around the west metro. Pull those out, then fill the can with what nobody wants. It shrinks the job and usually shrinks the size you need.
